About Us
Community and accountability, from early sobriety into long-term stability
Our Mission
Friends of Recovery exists to guide individuals from early sobriety into long-term stability by combining community and accountability. Our mission is to remove barriers in housing, employment, and education while reinforcing principle-driven living. We believe that recovery grows strongest when individuals receive structure, real-time support, and a roadmap for personal progress. Every program and partnership we build is designed to help people discover their potential and sustain meaningful, long-lasting recovery.
Our Vision
We see a recovery community where no one walks alone. Our long-term goal is to build a model other communities can follow, one that connects stable housing, steady mentorship, and real accountability into a single path a person can actually walk. We measure progress rather than perfection. We are working toward a version of recovery that is within reach for anyone who wants it, that lasts well beyond the first few months, and that is rooted in integrity, service, and connection.
Our Story
Friends of Recovery was built on years of lived experience in long-term recovery and a shared understanding of the challenges individuals face after treatment. Our founders recognized that lasting change requires more than short-term support. It demands structure, consistent accountability, and a community that walks with people long after the early stages of sobriety.
To meet this need, we brought together people from a range of professional and personal backgrounds: recovery advocates, technologists, peer mentors, and community leaders. Together they built an approach that puts human connection first and uses technology only where it genuinely helps.
Today, Friends of Recovery continues to grow through community partnerships that support and facilitate long-term recovery for anyone seeking a new way forward.
